There’s one tip you can add to your diet strategy, which is…
Every day, allocate your snack or meal budget to those who need it more.
For example: There’s a college student with a daily snack budget of $5 and usually eats four times a day. One meal costs $10. If they skip one meal and do not snack, they can donate $15 per day to those in need!
To you, $15 might seem small, but it’s significant for those who need it, especially when it adds up to $450 in a month.
Instead of spending money every day on something that makes you gain weight and potentially leads to illness, it’s better to allocate it to those who need it.
You can share with the poor, orphanages, elderly care homes, rural school development, and so on.
You don’t need to wait until you’re wealthy; you can give any amount while dieting.
It could be $2 every day, but be consistent because your snacking habit is consistent too, right?!
REWARDS CAN BE IMMEDIATELY RECEIVED
That’s absolutely correct. With this spiritual diet, you can receive its rewards immediately without waiting for them in the afterlife.
Since I am Christian, I will share Bible verses, but their truths are universal.
The first reward is a sense of happiness and inner fulfillment for yourself.
It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).
The joy is not only in what you give but also in yourself for giving.
Why is that? Because there is a spiritual need in every human to be of service to others.
When you fulfill this need, you will feel happy, satisfied, and fulfilled.
MAKING LUCK EVERY DAY
Did you know that giving to the poor or those in need can increase your “luck stock”?
It is written…
Proverbs 19:17 — Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.
Economically disadvantaged individuals may not be able to repay your kindness. The one obligated (in debt) to repay your kindness is God!
Moreover, it is written…
Proverbs 22:9 — The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.
Proverbs 28:27 — Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.
From these two verses, you will be blessed and lack nothing.
In what form God will repay your kindness is up to Him. But whatever it is, it’s the best for you.
It could be in the form of the slim body you desire, good financial flow, safety on the road or at work, better health, suddenly winning a contest, and so on… it’s up to God to arrange it.
DON’T SHOW OFF
But remember, when giving, don’t show off, as it is written…
Matthew 6:3–4 — But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
So, if you want your goodness to be CERTAINLY rewarded by God, do it discreetly without showing off 🙂
Wow, isn’t this spiritual diet amazing? Besides losing weight, being healthy, and happy, it turns out the “reward” can come in various forms!!
